| These can be mixed and matched to a certain extent, and I’m always open to other possibilities! These are just canon AU ideas I tend to gravitate towards to keep the RP peace.
Civil War Divergence (single AU): In canon, Tony and Pepper are on a break during the events of Civil War. In this AU, things never escalate to the point of the Avengers collapsing as a group. Tony and Pepper never reconcile romantically due to Tony still having the distraction of superhero life and training. Tony is single and the Avengers get to stay together as a dysfunctional family. Endgame Divergence (survivor AU): Rather than dying, Tony is severely injured but received medical aid in time to survive. He loses his right arm from the shoulder down and replaces it with a full Iron Man prosthesis powered by a new arc reactor he wears permanently again. He has heavy scarring along his right side from his face down to his knee. His right eye was also damaged, so he wears a contact lens to improve his sight. Sunglasses continue to be a heavy staple of his attire to help hide the scarring and issues with his eye. (Usually paired with Civial War Divergence for shipping purposes.) Endgame Divergence (single dad AU): Rather than Tony dying in the fight, Pepper sacrificed herself so Morgan would have her hero and the world would have its protector. |
